May 2010 The Bruce Children are Special Foundation has one big focus during the month of May: summer camp. Each year, the Bruce Children are Special Foundation coordinates a summer camp program. The foundation pays the registration fees for children whose families are receiving services from The Children’s Aid of the County of Bruce , and experiencing financial difficulties. The child has the opportunity to choose a camp that is gearted towards their interests. Day camps are also included. Last year, 61 children were sent to the camp of their choice. Without the help of the community, these children would not have had the opportunity to attend. The Bruce Children are Special Foundation is in need of support again this year to ensure that 61 more children are able to attend summer camp.
