Christmas is coming

Each year the Bruce Children are Special Foundation coordinates 2 Christmas programs: Adopt-A-Family and Christmas Hampers. Last year, we did 300 hampers and 32 Adopt-A-Familys costing just under $15,000.

Mississippi Heat in concert

On Saturday November 12 see blues band Mississippi Heat live in concert at the Sutton Park Inn. Show starts at 8:30 p.m.. Tickets are $20 each or $15 for Bruce County Blues members. Tickets are available at The Sutton Park Inn, Jerome's Flowers and Gifts, Snip 'n Clip (Kincardine and A & R Music (Walkerton).

Proceeds go out to the Bruce Children are Special Foundation's Christmas program.

Girls Night

Bring the girls out for a night of fun! The Bruce Children are Special Foundation is hosting a Girls Night fundraiser on November 24 come and go from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. It is located at the Children’s Aid Society of the County of Bruce at 5 McGivern St. West in Walkerton.

There will be a total of seven consultants taking part;

Each consultant will donate a portion of the sales to the Bruce Children are Special Foundation. This is a great opportunity to support a local charity, as well as get some Christmas shopping crossed off your list all in one place. You may even win a door prize.

Antique Apprasials and Silent Auction

On October 23 the Bruce Children are Special Foundation hosted their fourth Antique Apprasials event, introducing a silent auction along side the event. $1,190 was raised. Thank you to everyone who supported the event by sponsorship, or silent auction items.

Little Caesars Pizza Kit and Cookie Dough

The Bruce Children are Special Foundation sold Little Caesars pizza kits and cookie dough this past August. Just under $1,180 was raised for this past year's Summer Camp program.

This last summer almost 60 children were sent to a summer camp of their choice, costing a total of $22,000. Thank you to all those who supported this cause.

Easter Ham and Pepperettes Fundraiser & Yard Sale & BBQ

This past April the Bruce Children are Special Foundation hosted an Easter Ham and Pepperette Drive, selling two sizes of hams for Easter from Wayne Batte’s Custom Butchering and pepperettes from Heidleburg Foods.

The Easter Ham and Pepprette fundraiser lead straight into the Yard Sale & BBQ which was held on the Saturday of the long weekend in May. “It was such a beautiful day,” says Cherie Borho, Administrator to the Bruce Children are Special Foundation. “We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather.”
